We use a tool called BugHerd to capture feedback simply and efficiently directly on the pages of the staging site. Further details can be found below regarding how to use BugHerd.

A BugHerd activation link will be sent to activate BugHerd on your staging website when ready for review. Team members can sign up with their own account.

Each person on your team will be able to see each other's feedback. We recommend having one main person adding the feedback and being the gatekeeper for everyone on the team which will prevent conflicting feedback to us.

A few quick notes about the site acceptance review:

  • When development is completed, we will no longer be actively checking your live site for updates. Please make a note to add requested updates to your live site in BugHerd so we can capture them on the new site as well. We typically run a check before we launch however, its always good to be notified to avoid oversight.
  • When adding feedback to the site, please be specific in your request as sometimes the pins can move. For example, instead of saying "delete" say "delete the words 'learn more'"
  • Please refrain from changing the description of a task once its been added. If you need to add further information please add a comment to the original ticket or create a new task. If you change the description we lose the history of the original request.
  • We do your changes in batches by day so usually, feedback is done within 24-48 hours. If it is extensive it could be longer.
  • There is a limited amount of site acceptance review hours for requested feedback. Please ask your Implementation Manager for details specific to your project
  • This is the screen you will see when you click the activation link:

    Welcome to Bugherd
  • Download the browser extension if possible, which takes screenshots of the site when you add feedback. This helps our team see what you are referring to in the event we cannot replicate an issue. Otherwise, select "I can't install Chrome extensions".

  • Watch the video for a quick tutorial on how to use the tool then click "go to your website".

  • Now you will see the Q4 login screen. Everyone will use the same login details on the Q4 login screen (see below). This way all communication on the items added in BugHerd will be sent to one person's email.

  • The activation email is a one-time use to enable access to BugHerd. For future visits, you can proceed directly to the Q4 website link.
  • All feedback that is submitted in BugHerd will be reviewed by your Implementation Manager and assigned to our development team for resolution. The status will be noted on the Staging site - feedback that remains open will be visible on the site and all feedback that is resolved will be closed and will no longer be visible.
